After being sick for so long, I finally have a name for my illness: Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, otherwise known as P.O.T.S.

A cardiac condition that's stripped me of my health, weight (causing me to drop to anorexic weight), self confidence, friends, jobs and continuing my education.

My goals are simple: gain weight, be healthier, and get out more. Basically, get my life back!

I'm also hoping to spread some awareness on this little known condition, and to highlight the struggles of the underweight and people with "invisible illnesses."

Thunderstorming Tuesday

Today it's thunderstorming, which I love, but it makes me continue to feel crappy.

The Sabres have lost, and I've been treated like crap, so I'm really in a bad place tonight.


Amount of sleep: seven-ish hours. minimal rest though. Hilarious dreams involving my boyfriend's roommate. (lol!)

Diet:
- Breakfast: nutella on bread, cup of fruit, 2ish cups water
- Lunch: polish sausage, potato with butter/cheese/facon, 1 cup fresh fruit (pineapple, blackberries, strawberries), 1 cup pretzels, 1 cup dr. pepper
- Dinner: hamburger and baked potato, 2+ cups water
- Snack 1: handful hershey eggs
- Snack 2: rice krispies treats, 2 cups water

Exercise/activities:
- two long walks with my dogs during a break between thunderstorms. (appx 1 hr.)

P.O.T.S. symptoms experienced:
so far: pounding heart, extreme fatigue, body aches, cold extremities
